Our History
The Salvadori company was founded in 1945 in Prato, in the heart of Tuscany. In the following years, while remaining family owned and operated, it took great strides forward in size and in its sales strategies. A notable innovation occurred in 1960 when Salvadori introduced the wedding list. Again in 1998, with the advent of internet, the online wedding and cohabitation lists allowed the company to follow the needs of a widespread clientèle, without the limits imposed by physical distance. Salvadori does not, however, just rely on sales from the lists and, thanks to the opening ofits via Pomeria sales point, the company offers a full range of items of very different kinds, favouring a qualitative and transversal shopping experience.
The Store
The Salvadori headquarters and store is located in Prato just across the street from the medieval walls that surround the historical centre of the town. It was inaugurated in 1990 after an innovative restoration project preserved an historical industrial building and renovated it into a new site for high level commercial business. The headquarters has always been conceived and cared for by expert teams from the architect Gianbattista Bergonzi from Bologna working with the engineer Giannino Veronesi of Prato, who were responsibile for the initial restructuring of the property, to its current direction by the architect Francesco Risaliti who has overseen all works since 2000. The headquarters has an underground parking area available to pass holders who can leave their cars and access the roofed gallery that surrounds the building’s ground level. Inside the store space a large illuminated fountain introduces the glass elevator that allows a full view of our commercial spaces.

Through our logistics office we make home deliveries free of charge in the provinces of Florence, Prato and Pistoia and we offer special shopping rates to other consignment destinations.
